For years we have been scanning PDFs from boxes full of Gordon’s published stories and have just now posted some of our favorites on the website. It’s an eclectic library and a unique window on the golden age of modern adventure and exploration. We’ll be adding more as we work through the portfolio and welcome you to browse and enjoy them.
Since many of Gordon’s stories were published only on paper and before magazines began digitizing their pages, some of them - like his very first feature above - would now be tough to find anywhere else. The library begins with his work for the earliest adventure magazines like Mountain Gazette, Outside and Powder and proceeds through a long progression of ever-more challenging assignments around the world. He feels lucky to have survived it all.
